Charity Gayle is an American worship leader and songwriter from Buffalo, New York. Music and ministry have been part of her life from an early age: by her mid-teens she was already directing church choirs.
She spent time in Nashville in 2014 and 2015, where her love for writing songs for the church grew. Her debut album, Lord, You Are My Song, reached number one in the Christian and Gospel genre when it was released in 2018, and her second album, Endless Praise, followed in 2021. She has also been featured on The Emerging Sound recordings.
Her songs include “I Speak Jesus,” “Amen,” “Enter In (Psalm 100)” and “New Name Written Down in Glory,” and she received a Dove Award as a songwriter on “Benediction (As You Go)” for the group Selah.
Charity is married to worship leader Ryan Kennedy. Together they lead GatherHouse, a 24-hour prayer and worship movement based in Houston, Texas.
